      Pumpkin

Pumpkin is full of fiber and promotes a healthy digestive tract. It can also help to control weight in your dog by promoting a sense of fullness, reducing the physiological urge to consume larger volumes of food. Pumpkin is composed of 90% water so, it adds a healthy punch of moisture to your pets diet. Pumpkin contains Vitamin C which is vital for it's antioxidant and immune system supporting effects. It can also be beneficial to your pets urinary health. It is said that pumpkin could reduce the likelihood of your pet developing cancer due to the excellent source of Vitamin A, Beta-Carotene and iron. We do not use pumpkin seeds but, they are considered a "natural wormer". These seeds contain an amino acid called "cucurbitin"and is known to paralyze and kill intestinal parasites. Another healthy benefit of pumpkin is the fact that it contains Vitamin C which is a nutritious and effective way to aid in joint health. The Zinc in pumpkin improves your pups skin and coat.

     Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is a health supplement for your pet with diabetes because of the high levels of protein and healthy unsaturated fats. It is also low in carbs. When feeding your pet peanut butter, PLEASE make sure not to give them peanut butter with an artificial sweetner in it called "Xylitol". This substance is very TOXIC to dogs! Make sure to only feed them NATURAL or ORGANIC peanut butter. These butters are usually only made up of only peanuts and their oils. That's why we only use ALL NATURAL peanut butter! We intend to start making our own peanut butter especially for your pooches! Peanut Butter also contains anti-oxidants that support your pets heart health.

     Whole Wheat Flour

Unless your pooch has a gluten allergy, whole wheat flour is good for him! Whole wheat is actually a great part of a balanced diet. It contains fibers and proteins that again, can help aid in your pets digestive health and cardiac health. Everybody wants a healthy pup!

     Parsley

Let's face it, nobody likes stinky dog breath! Parsley is excellent for killing that bad breath! Parsley supports a healthy immune system and is rich in protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, B1, B2 and K. In addition to the vitamins, parsley also contains trace minerals such as: calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and phospherous. Another awesome benefit of parsley is it's an anti-microbial and........drum roll, please......gas reliever! It can lower blood pressure and is an anti-diuretic. If your pooch is anemic, parsley can aid in that as well.

     Sweet Potato

Another ingredient that's great for your pups digestive system being it's high in dietary fiber. Sweet Potato's are low in fat and contain Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and Manganese. If you want to help your pets vision, growth and muscle strength feed them sweet potato or......treats with sweet potato!

     Oatmeal

Oatmeal is very soothing for irritated skin. It nourishes, soothes and moisturizes. Oatmeal can be beneficial for balancing your pets pH level. Unfortunately, Eczema and Psoriasis can affect your pet as well. It is recommended for relieving symptoms from these skin problems. Oatmeal is very gentle on your pets coat and skin. Oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties thus it is recommended for the following problems:

     -itching

     -allergies

     -hot spots

     -dry skin

     -puppy acne

     -rashes

     -problems associated with fleas

     Vinegar

Vinegar is good for your pups skin and coat because it helps to relieve dandruff and rejuvenate the coat as well as help balance your pups skin pH levels. It is also a good use for relieving "hot spots" and gives your pup a healthy, shiny coat. If you're always looking for a great way to whiten up and clean your pets dirty coat, vinegar is perfect! Have a smelly dog? Use our doggy soap. The vinegar in our soap bar is great for deodorizing your pooch.

     Olive oil

Olive Oil, like any other oil used in our homemade dog soaps, is great for your dogs dry, flaky, itchy skin. Olive Oil is rich in antioxidants including Vitamin E which, is great for moisturizing.

     Essential Oils

We use a variety of different DOG SAFE essential oils. Lavender, Peppermint, Citrus, Eucalyptus and Lemongrass to name a few.. Listed below are some of the benefits for some oils we use.

-Lavender; great analgesic, anti-fungal, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. If you've got a nervous, anxious dog, lavender will help  calm their nerves.

-Peppermint; my own personal FAVORITE! We like to call it "puppermint"....just because it's cute and, we're silly. Peppermint is an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and analgesic. It stimulates circulation and is good for repelling insects.

-Citrus or Citrus Blend; calming and deodorizing. It too, is good for repelling those little nasties.

-Eucalyptus; this can be useful for your pet to help soothe skin after insect bites, stings and skin rashes. Eucalyptus can be used as an antiseptic as  well.

These are just a few ingredients that we use.
